Title: With A Dash Of Pepper
Summary: With everything now changed nothing will be like before. Pepper has to deal with Tony now being Ironman and all that extra work that entails. Also Tony having feelings for Pepper doesn't make things any easier for her. Too bad on top of all that she can't help developing some feeling for Tony herself.
Genre: Romance mainly and more.
Rating: This Chapter: G
Pairing: Tony x Pepper
Author's Note: Movie-verse. Not sure where this might go but at the core is a Tony x Pepper romance fic. Please excuse spelling or grammar. I write in my free time and don't have much time for someone to proof this.

The sound of the wind was loud in Pepper's ears but at that very moment she didn't care. She was flying in the sky freezing her ass off as Tony inside the Ironman suit held on to her firmly around her waist and her back pressed against his front. Pepper laughed and reached out to a cloud they were passing close by, the cold mist wet her hand and she couldn't help but smile. This had to be one of the most thrilling points in her life. Sure she had been on plenty of planes but this, this was different. She could see all around her, even looking down as scary as it looked was just amazing to see from so high above.

Inside the suit Tony kept their speed slow flying along at a reasonable height, he wouldn’t dare go too high or too fast with her. He was brash but he wouldn’t be stupid, Pepper was all he had and he would dare let a thing happen to her. Eating up every second of Pepper had become an enjoyable meal, she was showing a side of herself that he had never seen before and it was pleasantly surprising. Her hair was undone and flapping wildly in the wind, her arms were stretched out forward letting her hands glide along the air currents, and a smile so sweet and beautifully innocent was shinning brightly for just him to see.

"This is wonderful Tony!" she yelled over the wind.

A chuckle came from the silver suit, "I know it is."

Pepper's smile went down to a smirk, "Oh don't sound so smug all the time."

She pulled back the hair from her and could see Tony’s gaze was fixed down at her. "Well then how about something more heroic sounding then? Miss, there's no need to fear, Ironman is here!"

A snort followed by a fit of laugter escaped from Pepper before she could cover her mouth to stop it. Tony went on, "Here he comes to save the day! Ironman is on his way!" A singing Tony flew lower just below the small bit of clouds hovering above LA.

Stilling laughing couldn't stop her self from snorting once again. "Stop it! Oh, oh my sides."

“I never knew you snorted Miss Potts” Tony couldn’t help but comment on.

A hot glare was shot at Tony in the suit. “Don’t you dare speak a word of it to anyone.”

Ironman’s head turned away. “I wouldn’t dream of doing such a thing” he lied.

Inside the suit the display showed a map of the area below the two of them. A circle blinked drawing Tony’s attention away from Pepper. “We’re here.”

Gasping as she was scooped up into Tony’s arms Pepper held on tight to around his neck as they suddenly started to descend. Looking down the ground looked as if it was rocking towards them now. Pepper’s stomach rolled and dropped living her feeling sick, quickly she turned away and pressed her face to the warm metal neck. “Tony!” she cried out.

Standing on top of a tall building roof, brown eyes scanned the surrounding area. He could feel the other' pair of eyes blue in color staring at him. "I thought you had this planned out already" Pepper spoke sounding a bit annoyed.

Tony turned to face her, the suit's helmet was up and he gave her a little glare. "I do, I'm just trying to find the right alley."

A chuckle was followed by her shaking her head. "Don't you have satellite mapping or at least Google Earth in there?"

"Ha, ha" he flatly laughed which was followed by silent cursing under his breathe. "There, found it." Tony pulled the face plate back down and scooped up Pepper much to her surprise.

Suddenly he took off running and before she could scream jumping smoothly across the street to the other side and rooftop. They landed softly but Tony didn’t stop, this was followed by more running then jumping up into the air a few more times. Pepper felt her stomach cry out as he jumped short and they started to drop into an alley. The suits jets kicked on and they both gently glided down to the ground. Finally back on solid Earth Pepper took a moment to find her equilibrium again.

"Give that to the man at the mouth of the alley, he'll be here any minute." Tony suddenly instructed Pepper and before she could question him a fifty dollar bill was placed into her hand.

"Excuse me? This better not be drugs or something because I don't think you need another vice Mr. Stark." Her eyes glared as her question was responded back to with a laugh.

Wincing at the use of his last name she would only use it when she was very displeased or being sarcastic. "No, it's not that. Oh, here he comes. Get moving" Tony spoke hurrying her along away from him.

Her little sounds of complaints fell on to deaf ears which left her slowly walking towards a man now standing at the mouth of the alley. "Miss Potts?" the man's voice asked.

"Uh, yes?" Pepper responded still not sure what was going on.

“It’s going to be thirty six dollars and seventy two cents” the man spoke holding out a large paper bag.

Still unsure what she was doing she handed over the fifty and told him to keep the change. The smell of Chinese food filled her nose and a smile spread across her face. “Oh does that smell good” she thought taking in the sweet smell of pork, chicken, and whatever else was in the bag.

“Is he gone?” asked Tony hiding behind a large trash bin.

Snapping out of her Chinese wonderland she turned around and walked back to Tony. “Yes, yes he’s gone.”

Before Pepper knew it his arm was around her waist and she was being lifted into the air once more. “I hope you like dumplings.”

“Sir, I think he’s on the move.” A man spoke into his headphone alerting his boss.

Another man in a black suit walked over and leaned over the younger man sitting in front of a large flat screen monitor. “Do you have a confirmed ping?”

“Not yet, it says here in the file the suit is suppose to be out of commission due to repairs needed.” An image of Tony along with several shots of Ironman were being displayed now on the screen.

“That should be correct, keep monitoring until you can confirm.” The younger man nodded as his boss walked away back to his desk.

They both were in a fairly large room with others typing and chatted away in front of their computers. The boss of this section picked up his phone and pressed a speed dial. After a few rings a man with a deep voice spoke, “Yes?”

“Sir he might be active sooner than we thought. We are working on confirming the information at this time.” With a few keystrokes the boss pulled up the file.

“Just keep a eye on him for now but report back to me if he engages in anything that could cause unneeded attention.” The phone went dead before the other man could respond. The S.H.E.I.L.D. agent sighed before slipping back down into his chair, hopping nothing would come of it for fear of the paperwork he would be left dealing with.

A dumpling fell onto silver steel which was followed by curses. Pepper couldn’t help but snicker as Tony in the Ironman suit tried to get chopsticks to work. “Why don’t you just take the gloves off to eat?”

A grumbling Tony glared at Pepper which left her smiling at him holding her own chopsticks and dumplings perfectly in hand. Metal hands clanged down onto the ground and soft fleshy ones hungrily grabbed up the chopsticks again then snagged another plump dumpling.

“Isn’t it kind of disappointing?” Pepper asked staring at the stunning view spread out before her.

“What is?” Tony mumbled with food still in his mouth.

Looking up a large letter L towered of them. “The Hollywood sign. You see it all the time in movies but in real life they never have it lit up at night.”

Craning his head up Tony kept silent looking at the sign while chewing. Pepper went on, “I was in the area before at night and drove up this winding street to get a better view that I knew of and when I parked I could barely see it past the houses and tree’s. I always thought it was a shame they did that.”

“Well I could pay them to turn it on if you like?” Pepper turned back to Tony and shook her head.

“No it’s ok, this is fine. Lunch under the Hollywood sign, I like this.” Smiling at Pepper’s comment Tony popped another Dumpling in his mouth.

“Me too” he responded again with food in his mouth.

Laughing Pepper glared at him. “Stop that” she said sounding thoroughly annoyed.

After finally swallowing he gave her his best innocent looking smile, “What?”

“Food” she exclaimed pointing at him with her chopsticks. “You keep talking with food in your mouth. That’s gross Tony.”

Smiling even more and reached over to Pepper’s face to much of her surprise and pulled off a piece of rice and ate it. “At least I don’t have food on my face.”

Pepper turned red and started to fume. “Tony Stark you are exasperating!”

Tony laughed, “And you are quite charming when you’re mad Miss Potts.”

Pepper huffed and grabbed up the last dumpling, “Hey!” Tony protest watching her eat it with a evil glee.

“Yum” she snickered after swallowing the last bit.

Frowning Tony rolled his eyes, “I can always get more you know” he muttered.

“Not in that thing you can’t” Pepper remarked poking the Ironman suit with her chopsticks.

Normally he would have pouted a bit at her comment but instead just chuckled shaking his head. “What are you laughing about now?” she quipped at him.

Laughing only more Tony felt his eyes grew a little moist. “It’s really good to be alive, you know?”

Pepper’s mouth hung open for a moment and her heart wrenched tightly. She could only stare as Tony just kept changing between laughing and chuckling, he even wiped away a few tears that were just so out of character for him. Words escaped from her, she knew he had changed since he came back from his horrible ordeal over in the middle east but he normally just played it off most of time. It was at moments like that that the human known as Tony Stark would peek through. Those rare times that she hoped wouldn’t be so rare that made it worth it to know him.

Placing down her chopstick she smiled as stared out over Hollywood and LA with Tony smiling, “Yes, yes it is.”
